Our Prospective Client Planning Process

Our process begins with getting to know you and your goals. Tell us where you want to go, and we'll work with you to develop a plan that suits your needs.

So what are the steps?

1. Introductory Call - 15 minutes

This call is an opportunity for us to learn more about each other and for me to understand your specific questions and goals. I will also explain our process and how we might be able to help you. If at the end of the call we both feel that it makes sense to continue the process, we’ll move on to the next step.

2. Discovery Meeting - 45-60 minutes

The purpose of this meeting is to get a really deep understanding of what you’re trying to accomplish and to talk through each of your goals and concerns. This information will help us when preparing your one-page financial plan and allow us to give you specific recommendations based on your unique situation.

3. Data Request / Develop One-Page Plan

After the meeting, I will send you a data request asking for your financial statements and ask you clarifying questions to fill in any blanks. I will do this through secure email for your security and privacy.

I will then review and analyze all the data and prepare a plan that addresses each of your goals, with actionable recommendations.

4. Financial Plan Review Meeting / Discuss Next Steps - 60 minutes

I will present the plan, reviewing it with you one step at a time. Please know that there is no “hard sell” at this meeting – our goal is to help you make an informed decision. If you are comfortable moving forward and confident that I am the right advisor to help you, we would then discuss our ongoing service model, fees, and the process of transferring your accounts.

Start With a Conversation

If you are approaching retirement or navigating a major life transition, we would be honored to be a resource as you plan for your next season. A brief introductory conversation can help you decide whether our planning process is the right fit for your situation.
